Synopsis: The celebrated 11 part film adaptation of Evelyn Waugh's classic tale about a British Army Captain that is stationed at an English country house called Brideshead. Captain Charles Ryder remembers his past experiences at this estate as a young man who befriended the young Sebastian, played by Anthony Andrews, whose family lived there. His reminisences span the previous 20 years and the journey of their youth, loves, and anguish. Quality performances by Laurence Olivier and Claire Bloom as Lord and Lady Marchmain along with John Gielgud as Charles' father.
