Synopsis: Another film adaptation of Evelyn Waugh's classic British novel about forbidden love and the poignancy of remembrance.  A much more condensed version than the Brideshead Revisited of 1981, it is polished nevertheless and covers the main themes of the university friendship between Charles Ryder and Sebastian Flyte, Ryder's enchantment with the British upper classes, and his entanglement and romance with Sebastian's sister.
